VINEYARD: From our Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah vineyards on the Finca Casa Alfaro, the vines, pruned several times in the growing season, are espaliered in chalky clay soil with alluvial sub-soil.
WINE MAKING: each variety is fermented separately, producing different styles to be blended after an average of 9 months in French and Hungarian oak.

Viña Pedrosa GRAN SELECCION
This wine is the result of choiced grapes from vines over 60 years old. Mauro Pérez was born surrounded by the vines of Pedrosa de Duero. A wise man with a deep love of his land, he tilled the vineyards and planted vines that today are the source of this unique wine.
The old wise, crooked vines in the Valtarreña Estate, filled with many virtues acquired throughout their long life, produce grapes of exceptional quality.

The wine is coming from a plot called "La Navilla", situated in the same estate where the winery is located, and facing a very optimum south west position.

An enormous wine made only from the best vintages, intense ruby-red with purple hues, with aromas that bespeak new casks: spices, smoke, liquorice and light hints of truffles. Noble tannins with concentrated, very intense flavours resulting from grapes picked at their optimum point of ripeness in the estate's most select plots. |

An exuberant wine with a deep, ruby-red colour. Clearly distinguishable aromas of fresh fruit underscored by notes of cedar wood and liquorice with a most elegant mineral touch.
