Bodegas Fin de Siglo: The story of a passion
Bodegas Fin de Siglo S.L was founded in 1999 linking the efforts of a group of winegrowers with the know-how of specilalists in the wine marketing, aiming to create a product that is an accurate reflection of the land where it comes from unique climatic conditions, a privileged geographical situation beside the Najerilla Valley, the knowledge of wine experts and the introduction of the latest technological advances in the production and maturing of wines. All these factors turn Bodegas Fin de Siglo into the perfect scenery to make our most expected desire come true: our wines. Our choice to market our wines under the label RIBAGUDA is given because of the existence in our estate of a 100 years old vineyard from which we get the grapes to elaborate one of our most prestigiorus wines: Ribaguda Cepas Vieja Garnacha. This fact is not merely symbolic since all the wines we currently produce, go through their own and particular ageing process. Our main preoccupation is not the quantity of litres of wines produced in our facilities but their quality, and that is the reason why some vintages of particular wines are not elaborated. This decision always depends directly on the quality of the grapes cultivated during that year. Our intention is to make our brand long-lasting, in keeping with the principles that distinguish our winery: confidence and reliability.

At present we control 55 hectares of vineyards scattered throughout different villages: Nájera, Baños de Río Tobía, Alesón, Arenzana de Arriba y Arenzana de Abajo, 80% of them owned by our partners. The vineyards are nestled in a protrected valley, rooted in clay-ferrous soils, where red (garnacha, tempranillo y mazuelo) and white grapes (viura & malvasia) are cultivated. The most remarkable detail is that around 60% of our vineyards have been more than 50 years providing with their fruits to produce quality wines and they still do it. Low yielding vines (0,85 kg/vine) with small grapes are employed to create all our CEPAS VIEJAS wines.
